We will start our cycling tour from the city center, near the Linnahall, a former concert hall, which was designed to host parts of the sailing competition of the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics. First, cruise along the seaside road to the Song Festival Ground. This concert arena can accommodate more than 25 000 singers on its arch shaped stage and is home to Song Festival, an Estonian tradition since 1869. Then cycle through the lush gardens of Kadriorg Park and make a short stop in front of the Kadriorg Palace, founded by Peter the Great. Continue back to the city center, cycle past the Old Town walls as you continue towards the Seaplane Harbour, which is a home to the maritime museum. Take a look at the 20th century hangers, which are the world’s first reinforced concrete shell structures of such a great size. Neighboring the unique Seaplane hangers is the trendy Noblessner Quarter, now filled with cafés, cool-looking apartment buildings, but was once an important submarine shipyard of Imperial Russia. Continue to Telliskivi – a former industrial area that has now been turned into a hipsterville, full of many trendy design shops, cafes and galleries. You final stop and the ending point of the tour will be at Balti Jaam, the main railway station of the city. The surrounding area is a popular hotspot among locals, especially its famous market where you will be introduced to its open stalls full of fresh vegetables, and numerous street food vendors for you to discover later. From here you can take a leisurely walk to the Old Town to explore on your own.
